The advantages of setting jet nozzle in fabric plenum in cold storage are explained

What is cold storage?

Cold storage refers to the use of artificial means to create an environment different from outdoor temperature or humidity, and is also a constant temperature and humidity storage equipment for food, liquids, chemicals, medicine, vaccines, scientific tests and other items. Cold storage is usually located near the port of transport or the place of origin. Since the end of the 19th century, cold storage has been an important part of the logistics industry. Cold storage is mainly used for food, dairy products, meat, aquatic products, poultry, fruits and vegetables, beverages, flowers, green plants, tea, drugs, chemical raw materials, electronic instruments, tobacco, alcoholic beverages and other semi-finished products and finished products of constant temperature and humidity storage. The cold storage belongs to a kind of refrigeration equipment, which has a much larger refrigeration area than the refrigerator, but they have the same refrigeration principle.

For a long time, the definition of the scope of application of cold storage is fuzzy from the concept of temperature partition and management classification, which has affected the development of the industry, customer positioning, functional services, and value intelligence to a certain extent. According to the use of storage temperature requirements: high temperature cold storage, low temperature cold storage, cold storage. Cold storage can extend the storage life of food, and can keep food fresh and brittle. After the fresh food storage, its moisture, vitamin C content, hardness, color and weight can meet the storage requirements, so that agricultural and sideline products can get rid of the influence of climate, extend the preservation period, so as to obtain economic benefits.

Air supply design of MX fabric air duct in cold storage

The unique advantages of MX fabric air duct successfully solve a series of problems such as installation, load-bearing, uniform air supply, etc., and can be widely used in cold storage.

In the cold storage, the refrigeration scheme of chiller + fabric air duct is generally adopted, and the fabric plenum is generally installed between the chiller and the fabric air duct. When the fabric plenum is actually applied in the cold storage, as the fabric air duct designer, it is often considered to add part of the jet nozzle on the fabric plenum.

The air supply mode design of fabric air duct usually adopts the air supply mode of fabric surface penetration + jet nozzle of plenum box + orifice of air duct surface + end orifice. The fabric air duct adopts the principle of static pressure supply. After air enters the plenum from multiple fans, it is merged into the plenum box to form stable static pressure. At the end of the duct, the flow velocity in the duct is the highest, the dynamic pressure is the largest, and the static pressure is small. At the end of the duct, the flow velocity in the duct is reduced to a static state, and the dynamic pressure state is changed to a static pressure state, where the dynamic pressure is the smallest and the static pressure is larger. Because the static pressure at the inlet is smaller than the static pressure at the end, the outlet wind speed at the surface of the duct at the inlet is smaller than the outlet wind speed at the surface of the duct at the end. The air output of the inlet section of the corresponding air duct is smaller than that of the end. In order to balance the air flow at the front and rear ends of the air duct, a jet nozzle is set in the horizontal direction of the plenum. The air supply at the inlet of the air duct is provided by the jet nozzle of the plenum. The air supply at the inlet of the air duct is equal to the air supply at the end, and the total air output at the front and rear ends of the air duct is close to the same. Because the air supply Angle of the orifice on the surface of the air duct is side down, the Angle of the jet nozzle is set to cover horizontally in order to avoid conflict between the air outlet of the jet nozzle and the air outlet of the orifice.

Plenum jet nozzle outlet air application advantages

The air supply mode of setting jet nozzle in the plenum is our company's patented product solution. It has the following three technical advantages:

1, the airflow distribution is more uniform. The horizontal jet nozzle of the plenum provides air in the horizontal direction, and the air supply volume of the jet nozzle accounts for about 5%-10% of the total air volume. Because the jet nozzle is horizontal, the air flow moves along the length direction of the air duct, and then diffuses to both sides with the orifice on the surface of the air duct, and does not blow directly or diagonally down to the ground, the air flow is more reasonable and the air supply is more uniform.

2, reduce the system pressure impact. At the moment when the chiller starts, a large amount of air suddenly rushes into the plenum, which has a large impact on the plenum. There is a jet nozzle, which can slow down the instantaneous impact borne by the plenum, make the structural design more reasonable and increase the service life of the system.

3, reduce the frost of the cooler. If there is no jet nozzle of the plenum, the water vapor needs to be slowly discharged through the orifice on the surface of the air duct, and the residual water vapor is collected at the plenum and fan duct. If the cold air does not start for a long time, frost will form around the fan. The plenum has jet nozzle. The water vapor generated by defrosting is easy to flow out from the jet nozzle, which greatly reduces the frost phenomenon of the chiller.
